Students from an area high school examine artifacts at the Pop-Up Holocaust Museum.

Members of Lenawee Pride met for their monthly meeting in March at the Pop-Up Holocaust Museum.

Holocaust Remembrance Day

On April 19 at 4pm, the Adrian community honored Holocaust survivor and humanitarian, Irene Butter at the Croswell Opera House.  Unfortunately, Irene’s health prevented her from attending our event in person.

However, Irene's dear friend, University of Michigan Professor Annemarie Toebosch, to appear for her.

Students remain at the center of this experience.

Art students from Adrian High School will presented original works inspired by Irene’s life. Choir students from Springbrook Middle School offered traditional Jewish musical selections. Students from Addison High School read passages from Irene’s memoir, connecting her story to a new generation.

To continue one of Irene’s most personal traditions, the stamp she used to sign her books was used for guests.
